As a member of the accounting team, the Senior Accountant is responsible for working closely with Wolff’s property management company to ensure quality, timely, and accurate financial statements are produced, with the end goal of providing the best information possible to company stakeholders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete timely reviews of financials statements prepared by Wolff’s property management company
- Provide accurate annual property tax amortization and impound schedules to Wolff’s property management company
- Attend monthly financial review calls to identify additional accounting items to be addressed in the next period
- Collaborate with owner Asset Manager
son financials and treatment of unique accounting-situations - Understand Wolff processes and policies
- Understand external partner accounting requirements, and ensure financials and processes are successfully executed against them
The position is part-time; however, it requires close-to-full-time work during the month-end close process which lasts for approximately 7 calendar days at the beginning of each month. The time requirement for the remainder of the month is rather limited.
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience and Associate’s degree
- Or
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience and Bachelor’s degree
- Organization and time management skills and the ability to prioritize workload
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently as needed
- Organized, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- High ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results
- Strong attention to detail while possessing the ability to understand high-level concepts
- Experience in property accounting and/or Yardi software preferred
