Job Description
Summary
Delivery Specialists are responsible for familiarizing customers with the use of their new vehicles by explaining and connecting the cars technology and personalizing settings on the vehicle for individual customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Inspect sold vehicles to identify and physical concerns and make those on the back of the New Car delivery list
- Make sure that cars receive a full tank of gas before customer departs with vehicle
- Ensure each customer receives both sets of keys to their vehicle
- Demonstrate the location and use of spare tire and tools
- Attach the temporary license tag on the vehicle and describe the time frame for receiving hard plates
- Review owner’s manual and warranty literature with the customer, emphasizing the diagrams identifying lights and buttons
- Explain factory complementary maintenance
- Thoroughly explain features and operation of controls for each vehicle
- Assure that the customers phone is paired and operational via Bluetooth
- Explain factory online and in-car accounts/profiles with the customer and assist customer with registration of their car and phone
- Review location and hours of the service department, ascertain that first service appointment is set
- Confirm that front carpet mat is properly installed
- Assure that We-Owe form is properly filled out and that any defects needing correction are correctly documented
- Confirm with customer the best time to set up appointments for the We-Owe items
- Follow up with customers to schedule factory-required delivery appointments in-store and at home
- Maintain New Car delivery bay by sweeping and keeping the area free of debris
- Return key boxes to make-ready department daily
- Assist with physical inventory
- Assist in maintaining key security
- Perform various duties as needed; locate cars for dealer trade, follow salesperson to deliver vehicle, help fill in front lot
