Job Summary:
The Sales Rep – Outside drives business development and account growth by expanding dealer participation and consignment activity through field-based relationship management. This role focuses on acquiring new dealer accounts, reactivating inactive customers, and increasing adoption of digital auction tools through in-person support, training, and consultative selling. The Sales Rep – Outside represents the auction in the local market, builds trust with dealership decision-makers, and partners with internal teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience across both digital and sale-day operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops and grows a territory of dealer and consignor accounts by generating new business and increasing engagement with auction and digital auction services.
- Conducts in-person dealer visits to promote auction participation, consignment growth, and adoption of digital tools and processes.
- Identifies and converts new dealer opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community or industry events.
- Reactivates inactive and low-engagement accounts through field outreach and structured account recovery plans.
- Supports customer onboarding and training on digital auction platforms through demos, education sessions, and follow-up coaching.
- Partners with Auction Operations and Customer Service to address dealer needs, resolve issues, and strengthen retention.
- Maintains accurate CRM records, including account notes, opportunities, pipeline updates, and forecast activity.
- Tracks and reports performance metrics related to territory growth, account activity, customer engagement, and digital adoption.
- Represents the auction professionally at sale events, dealer meetings, and local market activities to strengthen relationships and market presence.

- Applies strong organization, territory planning, and pipeline discipline to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
- Demonstrates confidence delivering product demos and explaining digital tools to diverse customer audiences.
- Uses sound judgment to resolve customer issues and build long-term account relationships.
- Collaborates effectively with internal departments to ensure customer commitments align with operational execution.
- Maintains strong customer service orientation with accountability and follow-through.
- Uses CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word) proficiently.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in outside sales, account management, business development, or territory sales.
- At least one (1) year of experience in automotive, auctions, dealerships, fleet/lease, wholesale, or related industries preferred.
- Experience selling or supporting digital solutions, SaaS tools, or technology-enabled services preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally and regionally for dealer visits, meetings, and field engagement activities.
- Ability to work outdoors and move throughout auction facilities and lots during customer visits and sale events.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
