Memorial Community Health Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Ultrasound Technologist with both general and vascular experience to join our Radiology team on a PRN basis. This flexible, as-needed position is ideal for a compassionate healthcare professional who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment while helping provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our community. The selected candidate will assist with vacation and day-off coverage with no set schedule, no on-call responsibilities, and no holiday or weekend requirements. Job Duties:

  • Performs radiological services and ultrasound services by exemplifying the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform a variety of radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation or ultrasonic waves for radiographic diagnosis.
  • Performs accurate and safe operation of imaging equipment and follows established safety procedures in order to protect the patient and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure or unnecessary exams.
  • Maintains responsibility for the accurate assessment patient’s condition by determining their ability to comply with the physical requirements of the examination to minimize patient or examination problems. 
  • Provides competent, safe and effective patient care.
  • Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination.
  • Prepares and uses necessary equipment.
  • Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within scope of practice.
  • Performs and maintains documentation.
  • Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
  • Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of residents’ medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
  • Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Two (2) years of prior experience preferred
  • CT experience preferred
  • Mammography experience preferred
  • Currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Ultrasound Technologist
  • Licensed by the State of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
