Description


The Loan Operations Specialist I provides customer service, administrative, and clerical support to the Lending Department. This role processes routine loan transactions, responds to customer and internal inquiries, and supports daily departmental operations. The incumbent ensures accurate handling of daily operational tasks, maintains organized records, and supports department workflows. This position requires that the individual work in office. 


Ensures compliance within all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides assistance to visitors, customers, and vendors
  • Answers incoming calls and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department providing an introduction at transfer
  • Monitors and responds to designated group email inbox 
  • Provides basic administrative support and maintains supplies to Lending Departments
  • Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying
  • Assists with various analyzing, formatting, and distribution of various reports
  • Process loan payments and paydowns
  • Enter and maintain accurate loan data
  • Prepare and input of ACH and Cashier’s Checks
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and loan information
  • Escalate complex or non-routine issues to higher-level team members 
  • Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative support and/or receptionist duties
  • Preferred knowledge in lending, real estate or banking
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF 
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and competing priorities 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: 


The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and frequent interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which they are free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.

Salary Description
$22.00-$30.00/hour DOE
