Pay Range: $55,000 – $65,000 Annually
Purpose of the job:
Catch Coverage is rebuilding its analytical stack on Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, and Omni BI. The Senior Data Lead (Interim Head of Analytics) owns the architecture and dbt/Snowflake build. This role is the second pair of hands on that team: someone who can take the business-facing loop, sit with finance, sales, and operations stakeholders, walk them through reports, capture what they actually need, write it down clearly, and work with the Interim Head of Analytics to close the loop on fixes. Over time, the right person will grow into deeper data analytics work.
You will learn a modern analytical stack from someone building it in front of you. You are not expected to walk in knowing data engineering or data architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Sit with internal stakeholders (Medicare sales, finance, operations, HR) to walk them through Omni dashboards, capture feedback, document defects and change requests, and track them to resolution.
• Make report-side changes in Omni: tile edits, formatting, labels, filters, and layout. Escalate anything that touches dbt models or schema to the Interim Head of Analytics.
• Write SQL to spot-check numbers, audit data quality, and answer one-off questions from the business.
• Maintain and update the entity-relationship documentation for the Mart layer as the schema evolves.
• Reconcile reported numbers against source systems (Sabal, Atlantis, Paylocity, Sonar, Retreaver) when discrepancies are flagged.
• Own a clean, organized backlog of business requests and known issues so nothing falls through the cracks.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of analytics experience. Internship counts.
• Working SQL: ability to write joins, aggregations, window functions, and date logic, and read someone else’s 200-line query and explain what it does.
• Hands-on dashboard experience in any modern BI tool (Looker Studio, Looker, Omni, Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase).
• Comfortable being the person in the room with non-technical stakeholders. Willing to ask clarifying questions as many times as needed to get the requirement right.
• Strong written follow-through: meeting notes, change requests, and status updates that someone can read a week later and act on.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Exposure to Snowflake, dbt, or Git-based workflows. Coursework is acceptable.
• Python for light scripting (pandas, requests). Production pipeline development is not expected.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, call-center operations, or any commission-based sales environment.
BENEFITS:
• Paid Holidays (6)
• Paid Time Off
• Medical Insurance, National Plan Options
• Dental Insurance
• Vision Insurance
• Voluntary Life and AD&D
• Plans including Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity
• Employee Assistance Program
