Shift: Hybrid schedule 7:00am-3:30 pm (Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday and Friday remote)
Under the supervision of the Grants Manager, the Grants Technician supports the effective administration of grant-funded programs through grant tracking, electronic file management, project coordination, proposal support, invoice processing, and assistance with preparing for state and federal audits. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners. Key responsibilities include monitoring grant activities, maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports, preparing and tracking grant invoices and expenditures, researching new funding opportunities, and supporting audit readiness and compliance efforts. The Grants Technician plays an essential role in ensuring grant activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with grantor requirements while providing administrative support throughout the grant lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and maintain grant-related records, files, reports, and supporting documentation throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Manage grant deadlines, reporting requirements, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion and compliance.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of grant proposals, applications, reports, and supporting materials.
- Monitor grant-funded activities, expenditures, budgets, invoices, and reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance with grant requirements.
- Review grant agreements and maintain awareness of funding terms, conditions, and reporting obligations.
- Conduct research to identify new grant funding opportunities aligned with organizational programs and initiatives.
- Support post-award grant administration, including tracking outcomes, collecting data, and preparing progress reports.
- Collaborate with program managers, finance staff, and leadership teams to gather information and support grant-related activities.
- Maintain grant calendars and tracking systems to ensure organization and visibility of grant activities and deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with grantor guidelines and requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving policies and procedures for grant management.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and briefings on grant-related matters.
- Facilitate communication with grantors regarding reporting requirements, project updates, budget modifications, and compliance matters.
- Assist with preparation for state and federal audits by organizing grant documentation, maintaining accurate records, tracking compliance requirements, and providing supporting materials for audit reviews.
- Provide general administrative and operational support for the Grants Department as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One to three years of experience in grants administration, accounting support, project coordination, compliance tracking, or related administrative work preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and financial tracking.
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks, working independently, and completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply various organizational policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn and utilize grant management systems, databases, and other technology platforms.
