Property Manager (Part-Time, Potential for Full-Time Growth)

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Property Manager to join our team at the Juniper Apartments, our flagship multi-family residential complex in Alamogordo. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in property management with the potential to grow into a full-time role. The successful candidate will work on-site in our office, providing exceptional service to tenants and supporting the day-to-day operations of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to tenant inquiries with courteous, professional, and timely communication

- Follow up on work orders to ensure timely resolution and tenant satisfaction

- Screen and approve rental applications in accordance with company policies and fair housing laws 

- Post vacancies and assist in marketing efforts to attract prospective tenants

- Collect rent payments 

- Post notices and enforce policies related to nonpayment or noncompliance

- Oversee the move-in and move-out process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth transition for tenants

- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, payments, and property activities

- Assist with general administrative tasks related to property management

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in customer service, leasing, or property management preferred but not required

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational and time management abilities

- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and professionally

- Excellent computer skills (a typing test may be issued) familiarity with property management software is a plus

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Ability to work approximately 25-30 hours per week, with potential for increased hours and full-time employment as the role develops

- A proactive attitude and a desire to grow within the property management field

- Willingness to obtain a real estate license preferred and will be paid by the company
