About Guideline
Guideline is a global provider of ad intelligence and media plan management technology, powering the strategy, planning, and management of advertising buying and selling for the world’s leading enterprises. Our solutions deliver the industry’s most comprehensive and timely insights, enabling publishers, agencies, brands, investors, and consulting firms to optimize media performance and drive superior business outcomes.
Guideline’s proprietary spend and pricing data represents approximately $200 billion in annual media investment across 65 countries, providing the most complete and transparent view of the global advertising marketplace available today. In 2026 we are accelerating our investment in analytics and AI-powered solutions for the advertising and capital markets industries.
About the Role
Guideline's spend data is different from anything else in the market — sourced directly from agencies and publishers, verified at the transaction level, not estimated or blended. The contributor network is what makes it that way: hundreds of agencies and media companies submitting the records that build the pool. It's also the foundation the entire ad intelligence suite runs on.
You own that network — growing it, reducing onboarding friction, and making it harder to leave than to stay. You own the infrastructure that processes and validates what contributors submit. And you own the ad intelligence products that turn the pool into intelligence clients utilize to make strategic decisions. The mandate: triple the number of agencies actively submitting data. The role reports directly to the CPO.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the product roadmap for the contributor vertical and the ad intelligence products within scope — the analytics products and query agent that turn Guideline's spend data into intelligence agencies and media companies act on. These are the products that win renewals and expand accounts.
- Own the contributor vertical as a product problem — understand what creates onboarding friction, what drives attrition, and what makes a contributor expand their relationship with Guideline. Build to address all three.
- Own the scalability of the contributor stack — the ingestion infrastructure and data quality gates that determine whether Guideline can grow the contributor pool without compounding the problems that come with it.
- Set the data quality standard — define what clean contributor data looks like, build the mechanisms that catch problems before they reach downstream products, and hold that bar as a product commitment.
- Make it dramatically easier to become a Guideline contributor — the portal experience, onboarding workflows, and partner processes should turn a drawn-out integration into a competitive advantage.
- Work directly with the CPO on ad intelligence product strategy and contributor growth; bring the client and market insight that connects platform decisions to product outcomes.
- Build and deploy AI agents and skills as a routine part of the job.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10–14 years in product management with real depth in ad intelligence products — media measurement, spend data, or data products in ad tech or media.
- Has owned a product that external clients build workflows around — understands what quality commitments mean for retention and what delivery failures cost.
- Has the platform depth to own a major infrastructure build — can engage credibly with engineering on data architecture, ingestion design, and quality methodology without being an engineer.
- Experience with contributor, supplier, or data partner relationships — knows that network quality is a product problem, not a business development problem.
- Operates at Director scope as an IC — earns influence through quality of thinking and earned credibility, not authority.
- Builds and deploys AI agents and skills as part of everyday work; a baseline at this level, not a differentiator.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in ad tech, media measurement, or spend data — familiarity with how agency data flows from submission to pool to product.
- Experience with multi-sided data networks or data exchange platforms — growing a contributor base while maintaining quality at scale.
- Familiarity with agentic query tools like ThoughtSpot — and comfort with agents, APIs, and MCPs as the mechanisms through which data products reach users.
- Experience building or owning a contributor or partner self-serve portal — a data submission or partner management interface with real external users.
- Familiarity with the platforms that consume media spend data — understands how agencies and brands use it in their own planning and buying workflows.
