Title: Warehouse Generalist I
Department: Operations
Pay Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Operations Manager and Warehouse Manager
JOB SUMMARY
This position requires an experienced person who can effectively perform all job functions in a warehouse. This would include but is not limited to shipping, receiving, picking, packing, manifesting shipments, verifying contractor orders, driving power equipment, and conducting the daily operations of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally team lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Frequently required to push/pull a ladder, ascend and/or descend ladder while holding packages.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform some Warehouse Manager tasks in their absence
- Address and resolve daily warehouse issues
- Provide assistance to UPS, FedEx, Contractors/Installers, and Project Managers
- Accurately pick, check, and package customer orders
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to configure product layout
- Inspect and operate Forklift and Pallet Jack
- Help to process Returns
- Help to key/rekey locks
- Help to tag Fire Extinguishers
- Install products at customer sites when required
- Manage and maintain tools, company vehicles, machines, and trailers
- Be able to operate a scanner’s and computer’s basic functions
- Effectively conduct the daily operations of the warehouse to include but is not limited to:
- Shipping
- Receiving
- Order Packing
- Put Away
- Inventory Control
- General Cleanliness

- Product knowledge

EDUCATION
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- English speaking required; Spanish bilingual preferred
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Supply Chain/Operations required
- Strong computer skills (Excel and Outlook) preferred
- Power Equipment trained and licensed operator
