Position Type: Internship / Practicum (Unpaid or Paid, as applicable)
Schedule: Flexible; typically, 8–20 hours/week based on academic program requirements.
Position Summary:
Third Street Family Health is seeking motivated and compassionate graduate students who are actively pursuing their LPC or LPCC to join our Behavioral Health team for a hands-on clinical training experience. This placement is designed to support students in completing required practicum or internship hours under appropriate supervision within a dynamic, community-based setting.
Students will gain experience providing therapeutic services, participating in clinical team processes, and developing core competencies needed for professional counseling practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct client services under supervision, such as intake assessments, case management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic support.
- Assist with treatment planning and documentation in accordance with agency and licensing standards.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and case consultations.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice.
- Support staff with community outreach or health education as needed.
- Complete required supervision and training hours for academic credit.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate counseling program pursuing LPC or LPCC licensure
- Third Street must have an affiliate agreement on file with the school (Approved Affiliations: Ashland University, Heidelberg and The Ohio State University.)
- Seeking practicum, internship, or clinical placement for course credit or licensure preparation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards.
- Completes credentialing requirements within first 90-days of employment.
