Staff Accountant
Description

Bleeding and Clotting Disorders Institute, the only Federally Recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence south of Chicago, is adding a Staff Accountant to our growing team! The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the reconciliation/review of numerous general ledger accounts, perform various month-end closing tasks, support financial statement consolidation activities, and support the Accounting Manager and CFO through investigation of monthly budget-to-actual variances. He or she will contribute toward the completion of monthly consolidated financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system, and will participate in all activities related to the monthly close process and the timely research/resolution of various business matters that have accounting implications.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000 dependent upon education and experience

Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or combined education & experience.
  2. 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience, including journal entries. Reconciliations in a medical office a plus.
  3. Strong knowledge of GAAP a plus.
  4. Extreme attention to detail, high level of professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
  5. Strong proficiency with MS Excel and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  6. Involvement with process improvement.
  7. Highly motivated with the ability to work on a team as well as independently and drive results.
