Colorado Springs Urology is seeking a dedicated, collaborative leader to join our healthcare family as a Full-Time Clinical Supervisor, RN. Schedule and Work-Life Balance

  • Status: Full-Time, 40–42 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends or late nights)
  • RN Schedule: Consistent, daytime schedule structured specifically for our nursing and clinical operations team.

What You Will Do

In this vital role, you will partner directly with our Practice Administrator to keep our clinic running smoothly. You will lead, train, and support our back-office team, working right alongside them to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support clinical staff, including Medical Assistants and Scribes.
  • Training & Development: Responsible for the training and orientation of new hires, as well as ongoing clinical training for all back-office functional positions and volunteer staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians and administrative teams to streamline daily patient flow and reduce wait times.
  • Oversee clinical quality assurance, including chart reviews, lab result processing, and medical inventory.
  • Step in to provide hands-on back-office support to help your team whenever needed.

  • Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with preference given to those with a background in Urology.
  • Leadership & Training: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a strong background in coaching or training staff.
  • Certifications: BLS certification is required (ACLS is preferred).
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

GENERAL SUMMARY


The Clinical Supervisor, RN works with the Practice Administrator/Manager to assist with maintaining patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. The Clinical Supervisor, RN works as part of a health care team including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, front desk, medical records, and medical assistants to provide comprehensive care.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Serves as a clinical leader, supervising clinic staff, including Medical Assistants, RNs, LPNs and Scribes.
  • Collaborates with administrative staff and physicians to optimize efficiency of a variety of related services ranging from inpatient care to outpatient follow-up care.
  • Assists in the supervision of work and performance of clinic staff including input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with clinic staff on programs to improve patient outcomes. Assists in organizing and participating in quality improvement activities.
  • Assists with the training of all back-office function positions, and volunteer staff on health education, laboratory, and dispensary services.
  • Assists with intake and set-up for patient visits.
  • Assists as needed including medication refill requests, specialty and procedure referrals, pre- and post-clinic chart review.
  • Reviews charts, lab test results, and encounter forms for completeness and accuracy and to assess follow-up as needed.
  • Assists with clinic scheduling problem solving, patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase efficient and quality services.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate new ideas, problem resolution, obtain feedback and ensures follow-up.
  • Participates in new hire interviews and is responsible for the orientation and training of new hires.
  • Provides back up support for the clinical team, which includes all functions of the back office.
  • Responsible to oversee dispensary logs and storage to maintain quality assurance.
  • Coordinates the inventory, ordering and supply stock maintenance of medical supplies.
  • Provides PTO backup for patient services representatives, medical records specialists, medical assistants, and other clinic support staff when no other resources available.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS


  • RN license and certification as required by state.
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 2 years previous clinical experience; preferably in Urology clinic.
