Experts at maximizing revenue for ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) wanted. Track the pulse and trends for ASC (outpatient surgery) facilities and take proactive action to research claims, prepare denials and prepare thorough documentation of cases. Manage the process relating to overdue insurance and patient accounts, collections and/or write-offs. Maintains current knowledge of health care billing laws, rules and regulations and developments.

• Responsible for the followup up of all unpaid/denied claims with insurance carriers
• Work on all incoming correspondence including refund requests
• Review and send appeals on medical claims
• Work all surgical facility billing accounts to resolution
• Review patient balances and resolve patient billing issues
• Must have ability to review medical documentation for medical necessity

NOTE: This is only a Remote Position if you are not within reasonable travel distance to our Tampa, FL or Sioux Falls, SD office. ASC facility billing experience is required to work remotely.

• Experience: At least 2-5 years of medical facility billing experience, out of network helpful. Orthopedic/Pain management/ Ambulatory Surgery Center is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computerized billing systems. Experience with Vision, AdvantX and/ or Zirmed/Waystar is helpful.
• Basic level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.
• Critical thinking to identify and resolve complex problems in a remote work environment.
• Technical expertise in prioritizing tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills to enhance a cooperative virtual team and energetic work environment.
