Description
- Fabricate, weld, and modify metal components for RVs, trailers, and towing applications.
- Install hitches, towing accessories, brake controllers, and related equipment.
- Inspect vehicles and trailers to determine installation and fabrication requirements.
- Discuss work requirements with shop foreman or service advisor.
- Communicate additional service or repair recommendations to service advisor.
- Plan work procedures in cooperation with shop foreman.
- Provide labor time estimates to service advisor.
- Monitor work progress and update service advisor regularly.
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Complete story and/or documentation for customer work performed.
- Attend company and manufacturer training as required.
Requirements
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
- Experience using welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills for working with service advisors, foremen, and team members.
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy materials and equipment.
