Physician Assistant
Description

Objective: In this role, the Physician Assistant will demonstrate clinical competency by utilizing medical techniques and principles independently and will deal with a diverse set of patients, offering them care and encouragement. Also, the Physician Assistant will follow up on the patient’s documentation and should have strong problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional, eager to help Complete Health Partners change the way care is delivered, and able to give that level of care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and patient with others. You will also be required to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently with the policies, procedures, and standards of care at Complete Health Partners.


Requirements
  • Acquires and reviews patient histories, identifying abnormal conditions
  • Performs physical examinations and evaluates patients’ symptoms to determine the best course of treatment
  • Preparing patients for examination by removing clothing, applying drapes or gowns, or cleaning the skin
  • Assesses patients’ health and their demands and aim to fulfill them as well as possible 
  • Issues appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine
  • Monitors patients’ progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events 
  • Documents patients’ medical information and maintains patient charts
  • Educates patients about their conditions and treatment options
  • Communicates regularly with other healthcare providers, such as physicians and nurses to ensure that all aspects of care are being addressed
  • Performs data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files
  • Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices
  • Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulations
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
