General Position Summary: 

The Vice President, Business Development, is an executive role where the selected individual will have responsibility to: Find new business and grow Vervent’s Primary Servicing division which provides full-service cradle-to-grave loan, lease, and credit card account management to US based/Canadian originators and issuers of financial credit instruments. Close business deals and work with the client services and Operations Team to successfully on onboarding new clients. This role requires extensive sales experience in loan servicing. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience and knowledge to develop strategies to independently identify and engage new leads and, secondarily, will manage inbound leads generated through internet marketing channels. The Vice President, Business Development will work as a key part of the commercial team, to generate and follow up on leads and work with potential clients to create and sell customized financial service solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities and client decision makers that translate into revenue.
  • Develop the necessary rapport to efficiently close business and deliver solutions that meet and exceed the client needs.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Management Team, C-Level and other departments throughout sales cycle to enhance client accounts, build a strong foundation and help develop the cross-team relationships to ensure ongoing business and satisfaction.
  • Attend industry conference to network and generate new sales.
  • Travel and meet with prospects, existing clients and referral sources.
  • Manage the product and Sales territory assigned by the Sale Manger
  • Meet or exceed goals pertaining to sales, quality and service.
Requirements
  • Requires 5-8 years of experience in sales/business development role.
  • Sales experience in B2B methodology.?
  • Sales/Account experience in capital markets and the loan servicing industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all sales aspects.
  • Working knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce.com, Zoho, etc.) and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, work remotely, and in a small team environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Must be capable of handling diverse duties and changing deadlines.
  • Familiarity with capital markets and loan servicing industry.

Physical Requirements

The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment. On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.

Salary:

$120k - $160k + generous trailing commission plan
