JOB OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises, coordinates, and participates in all activities for incoming raw materials, outgoing products, and non-production materials. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and has a direct impact on Teknova’s Supply Chain capabilities.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees and directs the assigned team; gives work direction, assigns tasks and monitors the work at frequent intervals.
- Responsible for daily operations, and attending back-order meetings with Production when manager is not on-site
- Ensures appropriate training of team associates is completed in a timely fashion for all work to be performed.
- Maintains schedules and workflow of the team. Communicates any technician planned and unplanned absences and adjusts the workload in a timely manner and coordinates team to ensure customer needs are met.
- Coordinates with other teams to meet all customer demands and shipping schedules and oversee the WC-OUT (Work Center Output).
- Ensures timecards are accurate and correct in a timely fashion each pay period.
- Leads special projects as assigned.
- Ensures First In – First Out or First Expired - First Out product procedure is followed
- Prioritizes OTD (On-Time Delivery) orders and VDM (Visual Daily Management) metrics
- Coordinates freight deliveries for customer accounts as needed, and ensures that all customer specifications are met
- Receives, unpacks, packs, loads, processes, and stores products; completes packing slips for shipments as required.
- Ensures all incoming material and outgoing product is accurately accounted for and entered correctly into the ERP system.
- Follows all standard operating procedures to accurately receive and ship materials.
- Notifies proper departments regarding any discrepancies with products delivered, ordered or shipped.
- Safely and efficiently moves and handles items.
- Makes sure all raw materials, containers or closures are stored off the floor and properly spaced.
- Obtains Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Origin and any other product quality or sterility related documentation and delivers them to be scanned.
- Works with the Material Handlers as needed to ensure delivery of requested items from material locations/bins to the production areas.
- Monitors Critical List items.
- Maintains current Hazardous Materials Certification
- Operates and demonstrates use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary.
- Organizes, documents, monitors, and reports status on all warehouse metrics on a weekly or other basis as requested.
- Presents verbal project updates to the Operations Leadership as required.
- Monitors failure rates and modes of scanning devices and equipment used on the job and supports and services them or directs others to service them as appropriate once placed into use.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma / GED equivalent
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 4 years prior related warehouse experience (including purchase order and shipping document familiarity).
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum 2 years prior forklift experience preferred.
- Fundamental and working knowledge of computers, including MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
- Good human relations and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to adequately understand, communicate and follow written and/or oral instructions in English.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Basic math and recording abilities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to walk, bend, carry, lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
