Description

Vantage Mobility, a leading manufacturer of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, is seeking a skilled and motivated Disassembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed disassembly of OEM vehicles in preparation for mobility conversions. The Disassembly Technician ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Responsibilities


Vehicle Disassembly

  • Perform all phases of vehicle disassembly, including the removal of interior components, body panels, electrical systems, and other OEM parts.
  • Handle and store reusable parts and materials safely and properly.
  • Follow work instructions and diagrams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Report any issues, defects, or delays during the disassembly process.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure all disassembly work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Follow established safety protocols and immediately report any safety concerns or incidents.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding progress, part needs, or potential issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement discussions.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in vehicle disassembly, automotive repair, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle components and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions or automotive aftermarket work.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or production environments.
