Job Summary: Serves as the Sales Rep for Office Furniture (Wood). Interacts with customers to focus on contract manufacturing. Conducts marketing activities. Territory is Florida with targeted growth in out of state markets. Some travel with overnight stays. Provided with company car, cell phone, laptop, gas and credit cards. Works remote and mostly self-directed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Has product technical expertise and advises customers on products and application.
- Achieves sales goals (prospecting, cold calling, networking, and upselling).
- Answers customer questions about products and services, prices, availability, and credit terms.
- Works closely with GM and industry manager to efficiently process orders.
- Prevents account erosion and revenue erosion (churn reduction).
- Clear understanding of PRI’s mission and value of purchasing from PRI.
- Consults with clients on after-sales to resolve product problems and provides customer support.
- Works with Industry Manager and Finance Staff on past due accounts.
- Collaborates with Industry Staff on bid preparations.
- Monitors market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Develops, implements, and executes approved marketing plans.
- Performs administrative duties, follows company processes such as logging activity in Hubspot, responding to RFQs, prepares sales budgets and reports, and files expense account reports.
- Provides sales forecasts and other reports to Industry Manager as required.
- Coordinates with Industry Manager for direct delivery of product.
- Monitors inventories of product brochures and promotional materials.
- Maintains records of sales or other business transactions.
- Arranges delivery of goods or services.
- Attends trade shows and conferences and set up merchandise displays.
Education and Experience: BA or equivalent preferred, + 5 years sales & Marketing experience. Mechanical aptitude and ability, some manufacturing experience preferred.
Language Skills: Advanced verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
Mathematical Skills: Advanced Math Skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to assess, deduct, analyze and resolve.
Specialized Knowledge and/or Skill: Must have basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to travel up to 50% of work week. Must be proficient in the areas of the company's information management system that are applicable to this position. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Computer proficiency to use a laptop, desktop computer, and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Dynamics 365 systems.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to travel; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, use feet to operator pedals of vehicle. Must be able to bend and lift loads, up to 40 lbs. unassisted (heavier with assistance) and able to push and pull carts with products.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently travels on busy highways. When visiting the plant, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the plant work environment is usually loud – the dust level is moderate.
