Description

The Manufacturing Engineer is a key technical leader within the Engineering department, responsible for driving strategic improvements to manufacturing operations across product lines. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership in process development, and cross-functional collaboration to scale production capabilities. The Manufacturing Engineer leads high-impact initiatives and plays a critical role in advancing the company’s automation, quality, and productivity goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead the development, optimization, and scaling of complex manufacturing processes for new and existing products.

• Design and implementation of advanced fixtures, tooling, and automation systems for welding, CNC machining, and assembly operations.

• Identify, justify, and implement strategic process improvements that reduce cost, increase throughput, and enhance quality.

• Define and manage manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation.

• Develop and standardize robust documentation and work instructions.

• Lead configuration management activities and executing engineering changes.

• Maintain and improve ERP-integrated manufacturing data such as BOMs and routings.

• Provide engineering support to shop floor, vendors, and other departments.

Requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, DraftSight, and other design and simulation tools.
  • Skill and knowledge of CNC machining, welding processes, robotic automation.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and production control methodologies.
  • Experience in automation of manual processes.
  • Experience in CNC programming, robotic programming, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
  • Proven track record with manufacturing process development, automation, and capital projects.
  • Prior experience in high-mix, low-volume environments is a plus.
  • CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) and robotic welding programming experience are a plus.
  • ERP system experience (Global Shop, Syteline, SAP, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Teamwork oriented, open office environment.
  • PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs must be worn while in the shop.
