Good Harvest Market is Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, home to our onsite restaurant, bar, and event venue, Hop Harvest & Vine. We're looking for a hands-on, self-motivated person who takes as much pride in a spotless restroom as they do in a successful repair. This is an active, varied role that keeps our store, restaurant, and grounds running safely and looking their best every single day.
Daily facility cleaning is a core part of this job. Every shift, you'll be responsible for restrooms, floors, entrances, and customer-facing areas across our store and Hop Harvest & Vine. Beyond cleaning, you'll handle basic onsite repairs and maintenance - filters, hardware, fixtures, minor plumbing, painting, and patching - and use good judgment about when we need to call a contractor instead. You'll also perform preventative maintenance walkthroughs, document completed tasks and ongoing projects, maintain our outdoor spaces (walkways, patios, and playground area), and assist with weather-related needs like light salting and clearing walkways as conditions require.
All team members receive a generous 25% in-store purchase discount, a 50% shift meal discount at Hop Harvest & Vine, a Simple IRA retirement plan with employer match (eligibility requirements apply), and weekly paychecks every Friday. Full-time team members also are also eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-paid life and disability insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays.
We're looking for someone who genuinely doesn't mind the custodial side of the work. You should be comfortable and capable with basic repairs and groundskeeping - you don't need a trades license, but you need to know your way around a toolbox. Strong candidates are organized, dependable, able to manage priorities, and comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather year-round. Prior experience in a hands-on maintenance, custodial, groundskeeping, and/or facilities support role is required.
This position is full-time with a set schedule of 6a-2p Tuesday through Saturday, and includes regular lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting up to 75 lbs, along with regular bending, reaching, climbing, and standing throughout the shift.
