Description

NOTE:   This opportunity is open to W2, 1099 or C2C (no third parties, please). The candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen with an active secret federal security clearance. This is a remote opportunity; candidate must be based in the United States; must have reliable high-speed wired (not wireless) internet connectivity. ET time zone work schedule.


Daily Responsibilities

  • This role is essential for maintaining system integrity and ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and effectively while minimizing disruptions within the organization. 
  • Manage enterprise change and configuration management activities across systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain configuration baselines and ensure only approved changes are implemented.
  • Coordinate change requests, impact assessments, approvals, and implementation activities.
  • Support and facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and change review processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration items, assets, and system inventories.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, development, and operations teams to ensure compliance with security and governance requirements.
  • Support audits, reporting, documentation, and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Change Management Strategy: Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives, helping them fulfill their roles as change management sponsors. 
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees affected by changes, ensuring they are equipped to adapt to new processes and systems. 
  • Impact Analysis: Conduct impact analyses to assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders. 
  • Communication: Enable the design and delivery of key communications regarding changes to ensure clarity and understanding among all employees. 
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (no dual status) (As mandated by our government client).
  • Must possess an active secret federal security clearance.
  • Must have reliable high-speed wired (not wireless) internet connectivity.
  • 8+ years of progressive professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience and proficiency in change and configuration management.
  • Experience supporting change and configuration management in a government or enterprise IT environment.
  • Experience managing configuration baselines, change requests, and governance processes.
  • Experience supporting Agile development and IT operations environments.
  • Experience using enterprise collaboration and documentation tools such as Salesforce, SharePoint, Jira, or Confluence
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for expressing technical requirements and designs. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information sciences, or related discipline.  Additional related professional experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • -  ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 certification is a PLUS.
  • -  PMP, CCMP, or related change management certification is a PLUS.
  • -  Experience supporting federal or DoD programs is a PLUS.
  • -  Experience supporting cloud-based systems and DevSecOps environments is a PLUS.
