Building Up Youth Regional Partnership (BUY), a program of Bay State Community Services, is hiring High School students to promote youth wellbeing and prevent substance use among youth in Milton, Randolph, & Quincy. As a BUY Youth Leader, you will work with youth in the region (Braintree, Milton, Quincy, Randolph & Weymouth) and a coordinator in your town to incorporate youth voice in prevention initiatives. Even though this is a leadership role, no prior leadership experience is required! Throughout the year, you’ll take part in trainings that build your leadership skills, help you understand the work happening through BUY and your local coalition, and introduce you to the basics of primary prevention and public health. We encourage youth with lived substance use and mental health experience to apply. Please know the focus of the program is to prevent youth from starting substance use by making changes across the whole community - rather than focusing on individuals.
