Purpose Technology Group is looking for a hands-on Network & Security Engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting clients, and growing their technical expertise. This role is ideal for someone with strong networking fundamentals who wants to deepen their experience across multiple environments and work directly with a seasoned engineer who will mentor you. Ultimately this role will be the primary network engineer across a multi-client environment.

You will support and implement network solutions across our client base, collaborate with senior technical leadership, and play an important role in delivering reliable, secure, and well-documented infrastructure.

Network Support & Administration

· Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across multiple client environments.

· Support routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity solutions.

· Monitor network performance and help identify opportunities for improvement.

· Primary escalation point for all networking issues and work collaboratively toward resolution.

Project Implementation

· Design, deploy and manage full network deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure refresh projects.

· Participate in client onboarding, office relocations, and technology rollouts.

· Document network configurations, standards, and procedures.

· Support implementation of security and compliance best practices.

Security & Monitoring

· Maintaining secure network environments.

· Support monitoring and response efforts using security and monitoring platforms.

· Help identify and remediate vulnerabilities and security risks.

· Follow established security standards and methodologies.

Client Engagement

· Communicate professionally with clients regarding technical issues and project updates.

· Build trust through responsiveness, accountability, and follow-through.

· Collaborate with internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Required Qualifications

· 2–5 years of experience supporting network infrastructure in a business environment.

· Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, VPN technologies, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.

· Experience supporting firewalls, routers, and switches.

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Fortinet products, especially FortiGate.

· Designed and deployed networks.

· Experience working for an MSP or supporting multiple client environments.

· CCNA, Network+, or similar technical certification.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking concepts.

· Exposure to cybersecurity tools and security best practices.
