Closing Manager
Job Type
Full-time
Description

Good Harvest Market is Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, and also home to our onsite restaurant, bar, and event venue, Hop Harvest & Vine Public House. We're looking for a dependable, experienced Closing Manager to serve as our Manager on Duty during closing shifts - someone who takes pride in a well-run store, earns trust quickly, and knows how to keep a team moving when the daytime leadership has gone home.

This is a closing-focused, full-time role. Shifts end between 8-9pm depending on the night. As the Manager on Duty, you'll serve as the responsible manager in the building during your shift. As a keyholder, you'll be responsible for securing and locking the store at the end of each shift. You won't own a department - our department managers handle their own teams and ordering - but you will support every corner of the floor. That means jumping in to face and stock grocery and produce, running a register when needed, working the meat and deli counters, and making sure the store looks right before the doors close. On Friday nights when Hop Harvest & Vine hosts live music, you may be needed to help expedite food and support the restaurant floor as part of the team.

All team members receive a generous 25% in-store purchase discount, a 50% shift meal discount at Hop Harvest & Vine, a Simple IRA retirement plan with employer match (eligibility requirements apply), and weekly paychecks every Friday. Full-time team members are also eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision coverage, receive employer-paid life and disability insurance, and earn paid time off and paid holidays.

Requirements

This role is about presence, accountability, and follow-through. In the absence of department managers, you'll provide direction to team members as needed and report issues to the appropriate manager or store leadership. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.

Prior MOD, shift manager, or keyholder experience in retail or food service is strongly preferred. If our mission - to passionately serve and nourish our community with organic, local, and more sustainable options - speaks to you and you're someone who shows up fully for every shift you're responsible for, we'd love to meet you.
