The Opportunity
We are hiring a VP of Business Development to lead one of our most critical growth functions.
If you're energized by building markets, not just managing them — and want to be the person who defines where growth comes from and then does what it takes to get there — this role was built for you.
At US Signal, we're scaling strategically. As VP of Business Development, you'll own the full scope of how we grow: new market entry, partnership strategy, pricing governance, and RFP leadership. You'll set the direction, structure the deals, and partner closely with Sales, Finance, Product, and Marketing to make growth sustainable and data-driven — not just fast.
You'll report directly to the COO and work at the intersection of strategy, finance, and revenue execution.
What You'll Own
- Business development and growth strategy — You'll define and execute strategies across new markets, partnerships, and channels. This isn't analysis for analysis's sake — you're building the pipeline that drives long-term revenue expansion.
- Pricing strategy and governance — You'll own pricing across all revenue streams, ensuring competitive positioning, margin optimization, and disciplined deal execution. When pricing drifts or a deal is structured wrong, you're the one who catches it.
- Market intelligence and product strategy input — You'll lead ongoing analysis of market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to inform new products, services, pricing models, and business cases that keep US Signal ahead.
- RFP process ownership for new business — You'll lead and govern the end-to-end RFP process, ensuring responses are strategically positioned, financially sound, and delivered with discipline. This is a core function of the role — you're not reviewing RFPs, you're owning them.
- Deal structuring and partnership negotiations — You'll direct complex, high-stakes negotiations and partnership agreements, ensuring financial viability and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Team leadership across BD, pricing, and strategic planning — You'll build and develop the teams that execute this work, driving cross-functional alignment and holding the function accountable to measurable revenue impact.
You'll Be a Strong Fit
- Have 10–15+ years of hands-on experience in business development, pricing, corporate strategy, or related functions — and have led teams through complex, high-stakes growth initiatives, not just supported them
- Bring deep expertise in pricing and monetization models within IT, telecom, or technology services — you know how margin gets made and lost, and you can defend a pricing position in any room
- Have strong financial acumen: you can build a business case, model a deal, analyze margin, and structure terms that hold up under scrutiny
- Have led RFP processes at scale — you know how to organize a response, set the strategy, hold the timeline, and make sure what goes out the door is compelling and competitive
- Are a skilled negotiator and strong communicator — as comfortable with external partners as you are with internal stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and Product
- Think strategically and solve problems without needing a playbook — you thrive in environments where ambiguity is the norm and your judgment shapes outcomes
- Have an MBA or equivalent experience that has sharpened how you approach markets, valuation, and competitive strategy
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant professional experience in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in business development, pricing, corporate strategy, or related functions within the technology industry, including leadership of teams and complex growth initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead RFP processes and structure, negotiate, and close complex deals and partnership agreements
- Experience with market analysis, pricing governance, and building scalable revenue growth frameworks
- Ability to travel, as needed
Competencies: Act Like an Owner (Accountability, Leadership, Business Acumen) | Simplify (Problem Solving, Strategic Thinking) | Be Transparent (Integrity, Communication, Trustworthiness)
