Description

Job Duties:


  • The position involves tracking for a large number of human biospecimen samples
  • Samples types for storing and processing include serum, plasma, whole blood and tissue biopsy.
  • Communication with shipping and receiving department personnel is necessary to ensure packages are tracked
  • Monitoring of documentation from collection sites and other contracted research organization for sample analysis
  • Samples are entered and tracked in electronic data management system
  • Quality control of data and samples is required
  • Lead and organize the process of archiving laboratory notebooks and records from start to finish, including processing requests, maintaining onsite archive, preparing for shipment offsite and recording proper documentation 
  • Add to and maintain inventory of GLP and non-GLP laboratory notebooks and records 
  • Create and update records of GLP and non-GLP notebooks in the EDMS and other additional databases 
  • Manage all forms throughout archival process including requests, shipment and chain of custody forms 
  • Oversee and conduct the archival of digital data and associated forms 
  • Perform QC proofreading and accuracy checks of scientific reports as needed 
  • Assist with documentation and provide supporting information for related SOP and GLP deviations, if necessary 
  • Accession appropriate data into Watson and receive biospecimens when necessary 
  • Pull samples from inventory when requested by scientists in the department for internal or external assay work 
  • The qualified individual will be working in a regulated environment within our client's facility in Wilmington, Delaware.

We are looking for individuals to work in our biorepository and for clients with insourcing arrangements primarily for sample management.


Requirements:


  •     A minimum of an Bachlors Degree in a medical curriculum or biological sciences is required.
  •     Experience (e.g. as medical technologist or at a blood bank) or histology is a plus.
  •     The position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and good computer skills.
  •     All candidates should be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  •     Good communications skills and client service are critical.
  •     GLP and/or quality assurance experience is preferred.
