As a Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support in matters related to landlord-tenant cases. Your role will involve assisting attorneys, preparing legal documents, and interacting with others. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the landlord-tenant relationship and the related laws and regulations and a proven track record of supporting legal professionals in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
· Experience with Landlord-Tenant case filings, e-filing, court scheduling and drafting of pleadings is required.
· Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing lease agreements, eviction notices, and other legal documents
· Communicate with clients, tenants, and opposing counsel to gather necessary information
· Prepare file (including e-filing) and organize documents for court filings and hearings.
· Assist in case management, including scheduling and calendaring and maintain accurate and up-to-date legal files
· Provide administrative support to attorneys and collaborate with other legal assistants and paralegals on the team to ensure seamless workflow and client satisfaction
· Must exemplify good computer and telephone skills and be well organized.
· Must be a team player who possesses a great work ethic, is self-motivated, professional, is comfortable learning new skills, and takes direction well.

· Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
· Minimum 2 years experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with a focus on landlord-tenant law.
· Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local landlord-tenant laws and regulations
· Proficiency in legal research tools and software applications
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
