Description

Pilatus is hiring a Director IT, ITAR Compliance to join our team in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the local IT organization and ensuring alignment with global IT standards, strategies, and operational requirements. This role combines leadership, operational responsibility, business partnership, and oversight of ITAR-related controls to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant IT services supporting the organization’s objectives. Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the US IT organization in personnel and organizational matters in close alignment with global IT leadership
  • Conducts employee performance reviews, development discussions, and competency assessments
  • Supports budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term planning activities for the local IT organization
  • Prepares decision proposals and presentations for management and governance management
  • Manages local IT vendors and partners, including performance reviews and contract coordination
  • Collaborates with Legal, Compliance, and global IT leadership on software, maintenance, licensing, service agreements, and regulatory requirements affecting IT operations
  • Ensures close coordination and alignment with global IT regarding standards, operational processes, strategic initiatives, and ITAR-related requirements
  • Executes IT strategies and project roadmaps while contributing to long-term business and technology planning
  • Leads local IT projects and support global IT and business transformation initiatives
  • Translates business requirements into IT solutions together with business stakeholders
  • Ensures stable, secure, and efficient IT operations, infrastructure, systems, and support services
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains IT controls and processes that support compliance with ITAR and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Partners with business, security, and compliance stakeholders to support ITAR-controlled environments, access restrictions, data handling requirements, and audit readiness
  • Supports information security, compliance, and corporate governance activities across IT operations and projects
  • Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Travels periodically to headquarters and other company locations as required
  • Supports critical incident response and after-hours maintenance activities when necessary
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends relevant to the business
Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
  • Proven leadership experience in IT management within an international and matrix-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and IT operations
  • Experience leading IT projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and business functions
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are considered an advantage
  • Fluent English skills required

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - 180,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pilatus’ 118,000 square foot facility is custom-designed to conduct aircraft interior and exterior completions for all PC-12 PRO and PC-24 aircraft delivering to North and South America.
