Description
The Front Desk Receptionist in a manufacturing environment is responsible for managing the front office, greeting visitors, answering phones, and supporting administrative operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees, vendors, customers, and delivery drivers while maintaining a professional and organized reception area.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, customers, vendors, and delivery personnel.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor badges when required.
- Support shipping, receiving, and production departments with administrative tasks.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate conference room usage.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and company communications.
- Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and document management.
- Assist Human Resources with onboarding paperwork and employee communications.
- Maintain office supplies and place orders when needed.
- Ensure the front office and lobby areas remain clean and organized.
- Follow company safety policies and manufacturing facility procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day.
- May occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing office environment.
