Position Description: The Controller owns the Accounting function and serves as the senior Accounting leader for the organization. This is a hands-on operator role — you partner directly with the CEO and department heads, lead accounting and reporting, manage banking and tax relationships, and develop the finance team.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Controls Accounting processes and team accountability.

· Leads monthly and annual financial close; owns financial statement preparation and review.

· Delivers monthly reporting packages to the executive team covering operating results, AR aging, and utilization.

· Manages AR, AP, and Purchasing; oversees invoicing, collections, commissions, and procurement.

· Owns cash flow management, rolling forecasts, and proactive communication of risks to leadership.

· Leads annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting with the executive team.

· Ensures regulatory and tax compliance; manages external CPA, banking, and compliance vendor relationships.

· Manages and develops the finance and accounting team, including an Accounting Manager and supporting staff.

Requirements

  

Required Skills & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

· 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including full finance function ownership in a mid-market environment.

· Proven ability to operate strategically and hands-on; comfortable setting direction and doing the work.

· Service-based business experience; IT services, managed services, or telecom background a plus.

· Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, ConnectWise, or equivalent.

· High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, integrity, and internal controls.

Salary Description
$155,000 - $160,000
