OBJECTIVE:
Kids Empire is one of the fastest-growing retail entertainment brands in the US, with 110+ parks and rapid expansion underway. As we scale nationally and internationally, the ability to make fast, accurate, data-driven decisions is becoming essential. We are rebuilding our data foundations to support new operational use cases and more advanced analytics.
To support this effort, we’re hiring a Data Analyst who will help shape a modern, reliable data ecosystem and empower all teams to work more effectively with data.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Data Analyst, you will focus on analytics modeling, dashboard development, and data reliability, collaborating with Tech, Finance, Operations, and Marketing departments. You will work closely with our tech team and data engineers as we modernize Gravity, our core operational system, and migrate toward a cleaner, scalable data platform.
Beyond building dashboards, you’ll help design the underlying data models and pipelines that support decision-making across 110+ parks and future international markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build Analytics That Power Business Decisions
• Develop dashboards and reports that help teams understand performance (revenue, customer behavior, park operations, etc.)
• Translate business questions into clear, actionable analytics
• Improve self-service capabilities so teams can answer their own questions efficiently, while maintaining a clean single source of truth
Develop and Maintain the Analytics Layer
• Build and maintain dbt models that form our core analytics layer
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all tables and sources
• Implement documentation, testing, and versioning best practices
Collaborate with Business Teams
• Partner with the Operations, Marketing and Finance leadership to understand their data needs
• Design efficient datasets that empower non-technical users
• Ensure consistent KPIs and definitions across teams and systems
• Support Kids Empire requirements when designing metrics and data models
Support the Major Rebuild of Kids Empire’s Data Foundations
• Work alongside the tech team and data engineers on the redesign of our operational schema
• Provide analytics-driven input to ensure reporting and insights are treated as first-class priorities in the new data structure
• Validate that data outputs remain consistent during dual-write and cutover phases, and update the reporting layer to use the new schema
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouse.
• Experience creating and maintaining dbt models.
• Experience building dashboards in Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Metabase, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and business metrics.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience with US GAAP accounting requirements
Preferred
• Experience with Git and modern analytics workflows.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with CRM segmentation and marketing analytics.
• Experience in multi-location retail, hospitality, entertainment, or consumer businesses.
• Familiarity with AI tools and workflow automation platforms.
SOFT SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Experience & Skills
• 7+ years as a Data Analyst with strong modeling experience
• Strong experience with the modern data stack (we work with dbt on GCP/BigQuery; Python is a plus since we do the data extraction in-house)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, testing, and documentation
• Experience building dashboards in Metabase, Domo, Looker, Tableau, or similar
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into robust data products
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-growth environments
