Description
A food runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the customers' tables in a restaurant or other food service establishment.
Job Duties:
- Delivering food: The primary responsibility of a food runner is to deliver food orders from the kitchen to the customers' tables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinating with the kitchen staff: Food runners work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
- Ensuring food quality: Food runners are responsible for checking food quality before delivering it to customers. This includes verifying that the order is correct, the food is cooked properly, and the presentation is up to standard.
- Communicating with servers: Food runners communicate with servers to coordinate the timing of food delivery and ensure that customers receive their orders correctly.
- Cleaning tables: Food runners may be responsible for clearing and cleaning tables after customers have finished their meals.
- Assisting with other tasks: Food runners may be asked to assist with other tasks in the restaurant, such as restocking supplies or assisting with food preparation.
- Providing excellent customer service: Food runners should have a friendly and professional demeanor and strive to provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience for customers.
Requirements
Experience Preferred but Not Required
Previous restaurant, banquet, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. We welcome enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn and provide excellent service. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and be willing to assist with lunch, dinner, and special event service as needed.
