In this role, you’ll help shape high-impact partnerships by translating institutional needs into strategic, scalable solutions that support growth across marketing, enrollment, academic programs, and technology.
This role exists to support Collegis Education’s continued growth by assessing prospective partner opportunities, gathering critical inputs from senior institutional leaders, and designing profitable, mutually beneficial partnership structures that align client needs with Collegis solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Support critical functions of business development activities, such as: Delivery of capabilities presentations, facilitation of on-site assessments, development of mutually beneficial solutions, development of proposals, leadership of pitch meetings, and participation in SOWs.
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales team to meet with prospective buyers, facilitate assessments, conduct solution presentations, develop findings, and gain buy-in from prospective leadership teams.
- Work with Collegis subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop right-fit solutions and recommendations for clients.
- Work with Partner Solutions team to ensure solutions are not only viable but also position Collegis for a successful partnership.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Legal, Finance, Executive Leadership and other internal teams on proposal and contract development.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Go-to-Market (GTM) team to ensure Collegis B2B messaging remains relevant in the market.
What You'll Bring:
- At least 5 years of demonstrated success in a client-facing position related to sales or account management, preferably within higher education.
- Experience with at least one of the following areas in higher ed: marketing, enrollment, or technology
- Proven ability to develop successful solutions for clients or external audiences.
- Proven ability to work within a matrix environment.
- Ability to operate independently and prioritize day-to-day efforts according to areas of highest potential return.
- General understanding of financial/cost models and ability to work with finance teams.
- Solid understanding of at least 2 of the following: Enrollment, Marketing, Core higher ed technologies (CMS, CRM, SIS)
Requirements:
- Direct sales or sales support experience
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in the higher education space
- At least 3 years prior experience in the higher education sector is required
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to navigate C-suite conversations both internally and externally
- Travel 50%
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Minimum of a BA/BS in marketing, communications, business or a related field of study.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Collegis employs team members in a variety of locations across the country, supporting a flexible and distributed workforce. Depending on candidate location, this position may be structured as either remote or hybrid. Candidates located within 60 miles of our Oak Brook, IL office will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule, working onsite 2–3 days per week to support collaboration and team engagement, while those outside this radius may work fully remotely. Specific expectations based on location will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation: $120-150k Base salary plus additional performance-based compensation opportunity.
