About the Role:
The Member Solutions Specialist position is ideal for someone who is confident having difficult conversations, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance sympathy with accountability. You'll work directly with members experiencing payment difficulties, helping them understand their options while protecting the credit union's assets and financial interests.
This position plays a key role in delivering on our service promise by ensuring accuracy, clear communication, and proactive support, especially when members need guidance navigating payment challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
· Contact members by phone, mail, email, and in person regarding delinquent accounts.
· Partner with members to develop payment arrangements and solutions that support financial recovery.
· Maintain accurate records of member interactions, payment agreements, and account activity.
· Process and prepare documentation related to bankruptcies, garnishments, levies, repossessions, foreclosures, judgments, and other legal actions.
· Coordinate with attorneys, collection agencies, and other third parties as needed.
· Represent Jolt Credit Union in legal proceedings when required. Manage collateral repossessions and disposition activities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
· Review accounts for charge-off recommendations and prepare supporting documentation.
· Assist members with extension requests, loan restructures, short sales, and deed-in-lieu requests, referring to lending staff when appropriate.
· Monitor and maintain title reports, loan allowance reporting, bankruptcy tracking, foreclosure records, and other departmental reports.
· Work collaboratively with auditors, examiners, and internal stakeholders on collection-related matters.
· Support departmental operations and serve as a resource in the absence of leadership.
What you Bring to the Team:
· High School diploma required.
· One to two years collection experience required.
· General knowledge of credit union operations and other departmental functions preferred.
· Well versed in legal actions to include judgments, garnishments, bankruptcies, etc.
· Must have the ability to plan follow up collections and establish effective control pertaining to delinquency.
· Microsoft Outlook or similar email/calendar program knowledge.
