Position Objective:
To provide a wide range of support to the Laboratory Investigations Department
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist Laboratory Investigations Department staff members with administrative tasks
• Assist with all divisions within the Department, as needed
• Coordinate projects with other departments, including production, finance, and media tasks
• Manage the Department's public info email inbox; Draft responses to various inquiries about animal testing
• Schedule meetings and prepare ledgers
• Represent the Laboratory Investigations Department to the public
• Perform online research projects in support of department staff
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
• Minimum of two years of college coursework
• Two years of experience in an office setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including CoPilot
• Working knowledge of animal liberation issues and PETA campaigns
• Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
• Demonstrated effective research skills
• Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
• Professional appearance and adherence to a vegan lifestyle
• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The hourly pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.65. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
