Deep Sync is evolving into an agentic data platform where customers can use natural language to execute complex data strategies instantly. But an AI agent is only as smart as the data it can access. We are seeking a foundational Senior Product Manager for our Data Platform to architect, enrich, and scale the massive data engine and consumer identity spine that powers our entire ecosystem.
Position Overview
You will own the core data assets of Deep Sync. Your mission is to build a world-class Data Platform that continuously ingests new data sources, optimizes existing feeds, and expands our consumer Identity Spine. While other teams build the AI user experience, you will focus entirely on the data layer—ensuring our identity graph is rich, deeply unified, and semantically structured across our modern hybrid stack so that it can be seamlessly queried and activated.
You will partner closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Vendors to maximize the commercial value of our data supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Identity Graph & Data Enrichment
- Data Sourcing & Strategy: Evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new commercial data partnerships (Geo-spatial, Behavioral, Transactional, Online, Demographics) to expand the depth and breadth of our data assets.
- Identity Spine Ownership: Own the product roadmap for identity resolution, entity matching, and cross-device stitching. Continuously improve match rates for customer 1st-party data.
- Value Extraction: Audit and analyze our current data assets to uncover underutilized attributes, translating raw data into valuable, packaged audience characteristics.
- Data Supply Chain Management: Oversee the lifecycle, data freshness, compliance (privacy/security), and cost optimization of all incoming data feeds.
Making Data "Agent-Ready" (Data Platform & Semantics)
- Semantic Layer & Metadata: Define the data models, schemas, and metadata structures that allow downstream systems to seamlessly query across cloud platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and S3 without breaking.
- API-First Infrastructure: Manage the ingestion and delivery APIs, ensuring third-party and first-party data flows into our platform efficiently.
- Performance & Scale Optimization: Partner with Data Engineering to optimize query performance and storage strategies across our hybrid footprint. Ensure data can be stitched and segmented in near real-time without skyrocketing compute costs.
- Data Bottleneck Elimination: Identify manual processes in how data is currently fulfilled or cleaned, and architect automated productized workflows to move toward true self-service at scale.
Commercial & GTM Alignment
- Data Monetization: Directly tie the data enrichment roadmap to commercial strategies by expanding the targeting options and lookalike modeling capabilities available to clients.
- Data Portfolio Optimization: Work with product marketing to clearly articulate the unique value propositions of our identity spine and data verticals to the market.
- 4+ years as a Product Manager specifically within AdTech, MarTech, or DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) companies.
- Deep Identity Resolution Expertise: Proven experience building or managing Identity Graphs, onboarding 1st-party data, or working heavily with deterministic/probabilistic data matching.
- Data Lifecycle Management: Track record of sourcing external data, evaluating data vendors, and managing large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
Technical & Data Fluency
- Hybrid Data Architecture Fluency: Deep, hands-on experience navigating a modern, distributed data ecosystem. You must understand the specific strengths and trade-offs of:
- AWS S3 & Parquet (for scalable data lakes and columnar storage)
- Snowflake & Databricks (for data warehousing, lakehouses, and heavy transformation processing)
- Data Lifecycle & ETL/ELT: Proven track record of managing data pipelines that move, transform, and normalize data between object storage and analytical databases.
- SQL & Analysis: Exceptional SQL skills; comfortable diving into diverse data environments yourself to validate match rates, analyze coverage, and spot data gaps.
Leadership Style
- Platform Thinker: You look at data as a platform asset, not a one-off feature. You design scalable schemas that serve multiple downstream use cases.
- High Technical Clarity: Ability to write highly precise data requirements and schemas for data engineering teams, translating business data needs into technical execution.
