Description

 We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Underwriter with a strong background in underwriting franchise transactions ranging from $100K App-only financing to multi-million-dollar financing with full financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing the quality and creditworthiness of franchise operators as well as the market positioning and prospects of franchise brands across a wide spectrum. Specifically, a successful candidate will show:

  • Passion for understanding how Franchise businesses operate: business models, efficiency drivers, operating leverage, competitive positioning, etc. Similar experience in other sectors a plus
  • Ability to extrapolate a deeper understanding of the business from the financial statements, beyond ratios and margins
  • Experience in underwriting complex situations, involving pro forma analysis, multi-layered ownership structures, roll-ups of multiple entities, refinancings, acquisitions, etc.
  • Dedication to mentor and train colleagues in both financial analysis and the finer area of underwriting

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of internal credit processes and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with AmurEF personnel as well as Customers and third-party Originators
  • Ability to analyze structured and unstructured information as well as financial statements to identify both trends and outliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to underwrite multiple Transactions in parallel during constantly fluctuating work load
  • Well-developed planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest integrity and professional business standards

Education and Training Guidelines

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalently five years of related financial experience preferred
  • At least two years in a Senior Credit Analyst Position required
  • Full Financial Franchise Restaurant Underwriting experience
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as clients
