Member Services Representative (Part-Time) – Long Beach Branch

We are currently seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Part-Time Member Services Representative to join our team at the Long Beach Branch. This role offers up to 24 hours per week and provides an excellent opportunity to develop your career in the financial services industry while making a positive impact on our members’ financial well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist members with teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing member needs and questions promptly and professionally
  • Cross-sell products and services to meet or exceed individual and branch sales goals
  • Handle cash accurately and perform cash drawer balancing in a timely manner
  • Support members with opening, closing, and maintaining accounts
  • Process routing file maintenance on member accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Assist members with online and mobile banking login issues and provide guidance on digital banking services
  • Maintain compliance with all banking policies, procedures, and security standards


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, or customer service preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with digital banking platforms and basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional financial certifications are a plus

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year member services experience in a Credit Union or financial institution is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing business correspondence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work 24+ hours a week, Monday through Friday, and the occasional weekend day.
  • Goal driven and able to meet or exceed established cross-sell goals.
  • PC and calculator proficient, including experience with Microsoft products, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Ability to provide attention to detail with accurate and consistent results.
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  • Must be able to operate office/branch equipment including telephone, copier, scanner, cash recycler, and ATM.
  • Working knowledge of operational regulations, laws, and principles
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
