We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant for our new facility in Ellsworth, ME. Hours are 6am-7am to 12-1pm with some flexibility.

Position Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant will be responsible for the provision of medical services to patients under the guidance of the Medical Director and the Program Director. The NP/PA monitor’s overall patient care and serves as an advocate for both patient needs and the needs of the medical department.
Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF Standards, and Everest Recovery policy and procedure
- Support day to day Nursing staff in dispensary, provide knowledge transfer as appropriate
- Provide patient and staff education
- Prescribe medication and ensure appropriate dose (as allowed by Law)
- Admit patients and ensure safe induction to a therapeutic blocking dose.
- Medical exams, monitoring, referrals, and reviews
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation in patient record
- Attendance at administrative team meetings
- Advocate for patient needs
- Adherence to patient confidentiality as required by Federal and State Law and Regulations.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in ME
- 1+ year experience with psychiatric/mental health/substance use treatment services.
- Understanding of addiction treatment
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to be adaptable/flexible in a busy environment
- Good decision-making skills
