POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Principal, the Operations Coordinator will support the non-instructional operations of the school site. The Operations Coordinator will oversee attendance, child nutrition, recruitment and enrollment, facilities, field trips, health and safety, scheduling, records, testing, and transportation. The Operations Coordinator will also support key compliance projects and manage operations team members, which may include Office Assistant(s), Food Service staff, and/or additional staff members.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven, systems-oriented team member with people and project management experience. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, experience with process improvement, and can quickly build strong relationships with faculty, families, staff, and students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
Attendance
Manage systems and processes to support daily attendance and collaborate with Administrative Assistant to ensure the school meets student attendance goals
Ensure regular attendance reports are submitted on time, accurately, and in compliance
Oversee implementation and compliance of attendance interventions including truancy protocols
Recruitment and Enrollment
Manage systems and processes to support recruitment and enrollment and collaborate with the Principal to oversee the recruitment of new students and ensure the school meets enrollment goals (School is fully enrolled)
Manage lotteries and registration for prospective students and ensure compliance with the charter petition
Manage re-enrollment for current students (100% of forms collected before the first day of school)
Health and Safety
Ensure that the site is safe, secure and in compliance, including management of site safety plan (100% emergency drills completed on time, safety plan updated annually with Home Office, annual safety inspection passed)
Coordinate site emergency drills and liaise with local emergency departments
Ensure student incidents are recorded and reported accurately and on time.
Coordinate site health and nursing services; this includes hearing and vision screening.
Ensure that field trips are approved, safe and compliant
Train staff on evacuation procedures and emergency response
Technology and Facilities
Manage inventory of technology equipment and ensure that Chromebooks are maintained appropriately
Coordinate facilities maintenance and repairs with Home Office, and liaise with any contracted services team, as needed.
Coordinate with the facilities team on site upgrades
Ensure that the site meets the requirements of “Williams” legislation at all times
Create and coordinate facility tickets and be a liaison between teachers/staff and Home Office
Meals
Oversee child nutrition program and daily meal service; this includes required training and certification
Ensure compliance with the National School Lunch Program and School breakfast program
Ensure appropriate meal application collection and processing
Ensure meal orders are placed with accuracy
Records and Testing
Oversee intake and ongoing maintenance of student cumulative files to ensure accuracy and compliance, including processing records requests for entering and exiting students
Manage incoming transfers and transcript requests
Oversee distribution of report cards and transcripts
Support planning, preparation, and administration of standardized tests
Scheduling
Support the design of the school master schedule
Build student schedules for the start of the school year
Manage student scheduling maintenance throughout the school year
Transportation
Coordinate daily bussing and manage public transit program
Manage transportation reporting and ensure compliance
Oversee transportation management for field trips and other school activities
Finance and Leadership
Oversee site ordering including but not limited to POs and Amazon
Manage and maintain teacher supply budgets
Serve as a member of the school leadership team
Ensure office operations run smoothly
Manage supply ordering across the site
Required Qualifications
Commitment to uphold AMPS values, and belief that all children deserve a rigorous and equitable education that prepares them for college and for life.
Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred
Operations and/or prior school experience are strongly preferred.
Prior experience in project management is strongly preferred.
Prior experience with data or analysis is preferred.
Proficiency in Google Platforms, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides including the ability to maintain and create basic data dashboards.
Valid CPR/First Aid certification
Clear health and background check.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to twenty pounds on occasion.
Salary DOE $70,000 - $85,000
