Summary/Objective
Warehouse (Check In) is a pivotal role responsible for managing the check-in process for delivery drivers. This position ensures the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining the flow of operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate the check-in process for drivers arriving at the distribution warehouse, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Verify driver identification and delivery paperwork, ensuring all required documents are correctly completed and filed.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate loading and unloading of products, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of driver arrivals, departures, and any relevant logistical details in the warehouse management system.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, answer questions, and resolve any concerns or issues.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization within the check-in area, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in managing the flow of traffic in the loading docks and the surrounding areas to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with team members and management to develop and implement improvements to the check-in process and overall operational efficiency.
- Participate in training programs to stay informed about company policies, safety practices, and industry regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating forklifts and handling products in the warehouse, including wearing proper PPE and following warehouse guidelines for safe material handling.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly in a role involving driver check-in or dispatch, is preferred.
Additional Qualifications and Competencies
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in using eoTouch, eoWarehouse, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact professionally with drivers and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
Work Environment
This position requires exposure to all seasonal weather conditions, traffic noise, automotive fumes, and cramped quarters.
