Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary:
Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God’s wisdom as we search for a Christ following, dynamic, and gifted individual to join our incredible staff. The SAS Teacher provides Christ-centered support that helps students successfully access learning within the classroom environment while supporting their academic growth, spiritual formation, and personal development. This role primarily serves students whose greatest barriers to learning are related to executive functioning skills such as attention, focus, organization, impulsivity, work completion, and self-regulation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide executive functioning and access-to-learning support for students in grades 3-5.
- Provide targeted learning support and small group instruction for assigned students.
- Plan and implement targeted lessons and interventions to support student learning gaps and skill development.
- Support students in developing organization, focus, planning, self-regulation, and independent learning habits.
- Partner with classroom teachers to support student success within Tier 1 instruction and across classroom environments.
- Implement accommodations, organizational systems, attention and focus strategies, and learning supports aligned with student success plans.
- Facilitate student check-ins, accountability systems, and targeted support groups.
- Work alongside classroom teachers to support students when behavioral, organizational, and academic challenges arise across learning environments.
- Assess student progress on a regular basis and provide progress reports, communication, and documentation as required.
- Monitor student growth and communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administration regarding student needs and progress.
- Support students’ spiritual growth through prayer, biblical integration, and Christlike mentorship.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, staff devotions, and school events.
- Uphold and model the school’s Statement of Faith, mission, and core values.
- Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g. before and/after school, lunch, events) as needed.
- Evidence of a teachable heart, a humble and gentle spirit, and an ability to “correct, rebuke, and encourage” in love.
- A unifier who “makes every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace” while working with others to accomplish our mission.

- Demonstrated ability in the gift of classroom teaching which includes the following areas:
o Seamless biblical worldview integration
o Relating to students while holding them accountable
o Engagement strategies that take advantage of multiple classroom settings
o Lesson and unit planning, organization, and calendar management
o Balanced and effective classroom management
o Differentiated instruction to meet different learning styles
o Integration of technology as a tool for student learning
- Ability to navigate Microsoft applications and online tools.
- Classroom training, coursework and/or experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or major within context area or endorsement.
- State teaching certificate and/or Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) teaching certificate, or ability to obtain.
Spiritual Qualifications:
- Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.
- Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church.
- Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.
- Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.
- Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
Job Data:
- Hours: Full-time at 187 contract days.
- Salary: Starts at $40,500 per year. Actual salary is dependent on experience.
