Pay: $61,000.00 - $81,978.00 per year


Position Overview

Recovering Hope Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, organized, and hands-on House Advocate Supervisor to lead and support our House Advocate team within our outpatient lodging program. This position is responsible for overseeing daily lodging operations, ensuring high-quality client care, managing staff, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment that promotes recovery.


The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is passionate about supporting individuals recovering from substance use and mental health disorders.


Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and support House Advocates.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and manage employees.
  • Provide regular coaching, recognition, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Implement training initiatives and operational changes.
  • Address employee concerns and mediate workplace issues as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and client-centered culture.

Client Care & Program Operations

  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for clients.
  • Support clients in their recovery journey and daily living activities.
  • Assist with client admissions to lodging.
  • Facilitate client visitation hours and support client-family interactions.
  • Mediate client concerns and help maintain a respectful, therapeutic environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to House Advocates during shifts.

Facility & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist with cooking, housekeeping, medication administration, and other operational needs.
  • Complete required documentation and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following weather, fire, safety, and security procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, Minnesota 245G licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, confidentiality standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with treatment center staff to deliver exceptional client services.
  • Assist with general housekeeping, kitchen duties, and light maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to use computers, email, electronic medical records (EMR), and related software.
  • Current ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain certification through employer-provided training.
  • Ability to successfully complete Medication Administration Sign-Off by a Registered Nurse.

Preferred

  • Minnesota Trained Medication Aide Certification in good standing.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain through employer-provided training.
  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or mental health services.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Previous cooking, housekeeping, or maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota client rights regulations and staff responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate computers, office equipment, and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to read and maintain client records, medication documentation, and related materials.
  • Ability to perform housekeeping, kitchen, and facility support duties as needed.
