JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for leading and growing Tricon Wear Solutions’ most critical customer relationships while driving new business development through OEM partnerships. This role serves as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring strong, trust-based partnerships and delivering measurable growth through account planning, AR450 program expansion, and proactive engagement. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing Tricon’s commercial strategy by strengthening key accounts, expanding market presence, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Tricon’s designated strategic accounts, building long term relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain individual account plans that outline growth goals, relationship status, risks, and action steps
- Conduct regular business reviews with strategic account contacts to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and continued partnership
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing strategic accounts
- Monitor account health and proactively address any service, delivery, or product concerns before they escalate
OEM Business Development
- Lead Tricon’s new OEM partnership initiative by identifying, qualifying, and pursuing relationships with original equipment manufacturers
- Develop a pipeline of OEM prospects and manage outreach, presentations, and negotiations through to close
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor Tricon’s value proposition for OEM requirements and specifications
- Build Tricon’s credibility and brand recognition within the OEM space as a trusted, long-term wear solutions partner
AR450 Program Promotion & Sales
- Champion Tricon’s AR450 program across all strategic accounts and OEM prospects, serving as the program’s primary advocate in the field
- Educate customers on the technical advantages, applications, and long-term ROI of AR450 wear-resistant solutions
- Develop account-specific AR450 adoption plans, from initial introduction through specification approval and purchase
- Track and report on AR450 sales activity, penetration rates, and revenue performance within assigned accounts
Reporting & Collaboration
- Provide regular updates on account activity, pipeline status, and market intelligence
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM systems for all account interactions, opportunities, and forecasts
- Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and marketing to ensure customer commitments are met
- Represent Tricon at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–7 years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or materials industries preferred
- Demonstrated success managing complex customer relationships
- Experience with or interest in OEM sales channels and technical products
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with strong follow-through and accountability
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Willingness to travel as required

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above the shoulders. Regularly required to sit and move from place to place. Will frequently talk and listen, used hands to finger, handle or touch. Ability to see both closely and at a distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position will have exposure to jobsites and the production shop floor resulting in exposure to loud noises, sparks, fumes, chemicals and heavy equipment.
- Intermittent travel domestically. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions, units of measurement, and metric conversions.
- Reasoning skills including ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions of customer requirements. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
- Ability to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to gather and input quote and order information on a computer. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- May lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds on rare occasion.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Computer/Sedentary position.
- Intermittently will have to go onto the production floor resulting in exposure to loud noises, sparks, fumes, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
- The position will mainly be in a temperature control office space.
- Intermittent travel.
