Adventure Christian High School is seeking a Christ-centered, passionate, and knowledgeable Head Baseball Coach to lead and grow our baseball program. The Head Coach will be responsible for developing student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically while building a competitive program that reflects the mission and values of Adventure Christian School.

The ideal candidate will be committed to mentoring young men, fostering a culture of excellence, and using athletics as a platform to develop Christ-like character.


Mission of ACA Athletics

Adventure Christian School Athletics exists to develop student-athletes who pursue excellence, demonstrate Christ-like character, and use their gifts to glorify God. Coaches are expected to embrace and model this mission in all aspects of their leadership.


Responsibilities


Program Leadership

  • Serve as the leader of the entire baseball program.
  • Establish and communicate a clear vision, culture, and philosophy for the program.
  • Promote a positive, Christ-centered team environment.
  • Build strong relationships with student-athletes, families, school staff, and the community.

Student-Athlete Development

  • Teach baseball fundamentals, game strategy, and skill development.
  • Foster leadership, discipline, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Encourage student-athletes to pursue excellence in athletics, academics, and faith.
  • Model Christian character and sportsmanship in all interactions.

Practice & Game Management

  • Plan and conduct effective practices.
  • Manage all aspects of game preparation and competition.
  • Develop game strategies and make in-game decisions.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, tournaments, and team events.

Staff Development

  • Recruit, develop, and supervise assistant coaches.
  • Foster unity and collaboration among coaching staff.
  • Provide clear expectations and direction for assistant coaches.

Program Administration

  • Coordinate scheduling, equipment needs, uniforms, and team communication.
  • Work with the Athletic Director on budgeting and program needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all CIF, league, school, and athletic department policies.
  • Complete all required administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.

Community Engagement

  • Support fundraising efforts and program promotion.
  • Encourage positive relationships with alumni, families, and supporters.
  • Represent Adventure Christian High School with professionalism and integrity.

The Head Coach is expected to:

  • Attend all practices, games, meetings, and required athletic department events.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with players and families.
  • Promote and support multi-sport participation among student-athletes.
  • Serve as a positive representative of Adventure Christian High School and ACS Athletics.
  • Prioritize the spiritual, academic, and athletic growth of student-athletes.

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires moderate physical exertion associated with the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or climb.
  • Position requires physical capability for sustained physical work, requires strength and endurance associated with moderate physical effort.
  • Position requires moderate physical effort while performing continuous moderate lifting.
  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum or carrying an object up to 25 lbs.
