Description

Summary:

The Recruiting/Training Specialist is responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle—from talent acquisition and onboarding to training, development, and ongoing HR support as needed. This role ensures the organization attracts top talent, builds strong employee capabilities, and maintains a positive, compliant, and high performance workplace culture.


Responsibilities:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full cycle recruitment: job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure a great candidate experience.
  • Conduct background checks and prepare offer letters.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings.
  • Manage recruiting metrics and reporting.

Training & Development

  • Assess training needs across departments and develop training plans.
  • Create, deliver, and evaluate onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Facilitate in person and virtual training sessions on job skills, compliance, and company policies.
  • Track employee progress and maintain training records.
  • Support leadership development and continuous learning initiatives.

Human Resources Administration

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations and coaching documentation.
  • Assist with employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Support HR initiatives such as engagement programs, retention strategies, and culture-building activities.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience in recruiting 
  • 1 year experience within training or HR; combined experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
