Electrical General Superintendent
Description

Purpose of Position

The General Superintendent is responsible for the leadership, development, standardization, and execution of all field operations. This position serves as the senior field leader responsible for building a high-performing field organization through the development of Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel while driving safety, quality, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

· Lead, mentor, train and develop all Superintendents and Foremen.

· Establish field policies, procedures, standards and best practices across all projects.

· Drive accountability, consistency and operational excellence throughout field operations.

· Conduct regular project audits, jobsite walks and leadership evaluations.

· Oversee manpower planning, allocation and forecasting across all projects.

· Facilitate alignment between Project Managers and Superintendents.

· Establish clear roles, responsibilities and communication expectations between field and project management teams.

· Drive six-week planning, manpower forecasting and project execution standards.

· Support recruiting, hiring, succession planning and leadership development.

· Monitor labor productivity, schedule performance and resource utilization.

· Champion safety, quality and customer satisfaction initiatives.

· Participate in project reviews and assist with recovery plans for underperforming projects.

· Maintain relationships with owners, general contractors and key customers.

Field Operations Structure

Superintendent: Project execution, planning and site leadership.
Project Manager: Financial management, procurement and contractual obligations.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex field operations within a construction environment
  • Proven track record of strong operational performance and team leadership
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, labor performance, and operational metrics
  • Strong ethical leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyze operational data and apply practical solutions

Salary Description
$185-200k/yr
