Job Title: Quality Technician

Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Summary: The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of metal fabricated products and managing document control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical inspections of metal fabricated products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to conduct inspections.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks.
- Identify and report non-conformances and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain document control systems, ensuring all quality documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Review and approve quality-related documents, including inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and material test reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection and document control, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
